The accommodation:

Casa Currona is located in Àreu, the last village in the Vall Ferrera. Set against the backdrop of the highest mountain peaks in Catalonia, this magnificent location is a jumping-off point for a multitude of excursions and hiking routes.

We have two houses and a total of six rural accommodations.

  • L'Hortal: also in the village of Àreu, close to the Casa Currona, consists of four lodgings with capacity for four guests per lodging.
  • Casa Currona: consists of two apartments with capacity for five people.

We have a barbecue and free WiFi.

Ask us to accompany you on a visit to our cows and horses!

Casa Currona is pet-friendly and Hortal has a fireplace.

During the summer months you can also visit the municipal swimming pool in Àreu.

Situated in the heart of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, Casa Currona is the ideal location to go on high-mountain excursions, spend time with the family, pay a visit to the Pica d'Estats mountain or simply enjoy nature.
Interesting places:
  • Àreu Sawmill: The Museum of Wood in Àreu is part of the National Museum of Science and Industry of Catalonia museum network. Guests can visit the sawmill and the flour mill.
  • Sant Feliu Church: Ancient Romanesque church of the Força d'Àreu.
