L’Alta Ribagorça, a UNESCO World Heritage setting

L’Alta Ribagorça is a mountain region with dramatic landscapes and stunning glacial lakes. It’s a perfect destination for mountain sports all year round — both in summer and winter.

Tourism is the region’s main economic activity, with most businesses linked to this sector, coexisting alongside traditional livestock farming.

In November 2000, UNESCO declared nine Romanesque churches in the Boí Valley a World Heritage Site. Fifteen years later, the fire festivals of the Pyrenees were also recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The area also features a spa resort with nearly forty mineral-medicinal springs. It includes a 4-star hotel, a guesthouse, and a thermal treatment centre with natural steam rooms.

If you love alpine skiing, ski mountaineering, snowmobiling, snowboarding, paraskiing or cross-country skiing, Boí Taüll resort has everything you need.

And from the Boí Valley in l’Alta Ribagorça, you can also access the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.

Welcome to l’Alta Ribagorça!
